FMCSA-APPROVED CDL ENTRY LEVEL DRIVER TRAINING (ELDT)

Individuals obtaining a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) on or after February 7, 2022, are required to successfully complete this course prior to being eligible for their CDL skills or knowledge test. Upon finishing the course, results are promptly submitted to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. Consequently, CDL testing centers will obtain this information from the Registry to verify that the student has undergone the mandatory ELDT theory training.
